Thank You GCI

Thank You GCI We want to shine a light on Kimberly Waller, who is dedicating her time to empowering the women of the First Frontier. In 2019, Waller founded the Women's Power League of Alaska . It provides women with mentorship, professional development opportunities, and support through a community of like-minded women. She says, “I’m inspired by not only the strength of our community, the strength of nonprofits, but truly I’m inspired by women and mothers and the way they have been able to shift, pivot and continue inventing, reinventing, and innovating all the while caring for their children and their families. I think it speaks a lot to the incredible crop of women in this state.” This year, GCI was proud to power the 49th State Women’s Forum. Waller says tech is invaluable to women working to advance themselves on their journeys to become teachers, entrepreneurs, and more, especially during this era of virtual work. She said being able to give out tech goodies to the women who attended the virtual conference helped advance their dreams.
